Edward Patrick “Mickey” Walker was an Irish-American professional boxer and a former World Welterweight and Middleweight Champion. He was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and was also an avid golfer and a renowned artist. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990, as an original member of that institution.

Joetta Clark-Diggs – East Orange, New Jersey

Joetta Clark Diggs is an American track and field athlete and a four-time Olympian in the 800 metres. She competed in the finals of the Olympic Trials six times over a span of 20 years. Joetta attended Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey where she won the USA Junior Championship and made the Olympic Trials as a high schooler. Her record time was a national high school record for 28 years. She was elected to the National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 2009.

Hunt’s breakthrough performance was in The Year of Living Dangerously; her role as Billy Kwan earned her an Academy Award, an Australian Film Institute Award, a Golden Globe nomination and various other awards. Hunt was born in Morristown and attended the Interlochen Arts Academy and the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago.

Grover Cleveland – Caldwell, New Jersey

Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th President of the United States. Cleveland is the only president to serve two non-consecutive terms. After leaving the White House, Cleveland lived in retirement at his estate, Westland Mansion, in Princeton, New Jersey. For a time, Cleveland was a trustee of Princeton University. He passed away in 1908 and is buried in the Princeton Cemetery of the Nassau Presbyterian Church.

Frankie Muniz is an actor, musician, writer, producer, and professional racecar driver. He is known primarily as the star of the FOX television family sitcom Malcolm in the Middle, which has earned him an Emmy-Award Nomination and two Golden Globe Award Nominations.

Joe Flacco – Audubon, New Jersey

Joe Flacco is the starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. He played college football for the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Delaware. He was the 18th overall pick by the Ravens in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. In 2008, he became the first rookie quarterback in league history to win two playoff games. He played football at Audubon High School in Audubon, New Jersey and was the starting quarterback for the Green Wave. On January 20, 2013, Flacco led the Ravens to a win against the New England Patriots, securing their spot in the 2013 Super Bowl.

Clerow Wilson, Jr. – Jersey City, New Jersey

Clerow Wilson, Jr., known professionally as Flip Wilson, was an American comedian and actor. In the early 1970s, Wilson hosted his own weekly variety series, The Flip Wilson Show. The series earned Wilson a Golden Globe and two Emmy Awards. In January 1972, Time Magazine featured Wilson’s image on their cover and named him “TV’s first black superstar”. He spent his post-acting career with his family and as an active lighter-than-air pilot. On November 25, 1998, Wilson died of liver cancer in Malibu, California.
